We are the Maris Gals! We are a best friend team that collectively rocks the socks off events.

The seed of our company was planted 16 years ago when we were throwing parties in basements in high school. Though the caliber and clientele of our shindigs have changed much, our approach hasn’t. We believe in friendship, diligence, awesomeness, fun, and a few well earned glasses of bubbles in the mix. We thrive on the challenging and ever changing nature of our work, it jives with our work hard/play hard philosophy. We design, create, organize, articulate, budget, communicate, problem solve, facilitate, work our behinds off…and love every minute! We are excited to have created a team that embodies what Maris Events is all about- building relationships, having fun and creating one-of-a kind celebrations together. Our clients become our friends and we get to help them create the most important day of their life. Yeah, our job rocks.

Q: What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

A: With my hubby and our two girls. We love to go on family dates together! I also love designing, crafting and finding creative uses for ordinary things, cooking, gardening, bowling (yep, I’m on a league!), jogging and spending time at our family’s beach cabin.

Q: Do you have any hidden talents?

A: I began waterskiing when I was 5, I have double jointed elbows and can roll my tongue. I also love to sing!

Q: If someone were to make a movie about your life, who would you hope would play you?

A: Jennifer Anniston. She’s smart, funny, beautiful, witty and ambitious. I just adore her.

Q: If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

A: A Butterfly. I’d really love to fly and I wouldn’t mind one super long nap in a nice warm cocoon!

Q: If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would you be?

A: On the Mediterranean with friends and family enjoying a meal and wine, then finishing off the day dancing in some plaza near the sea.

Q: Where can we find you when you’re not working?

A: Entertaining family and friends, getting my vinyasa on, traveling, reading Kinfolk (or N. Ireland’s version Freckle), hiking, running, playing with my camera, or salsa dancing.

Q: What would be impossible for you to give up?

A: Coffee, dance, and cookbooks (I have 27 of them).

Q: Who is your hero and why?

A: The everyday woman who manages to balance everything- life, children, work, and still finds time to remember who she is. That is a miracle.
